It is believed by majority of individuals that zoos should be closed due to no important purpose provided by them in the modern era. There are an abundance of problems faced by wild creatures when put in cages which can be controlled by adopting validated alternatives.
To commence with, there are a myriad of factors which prove that zoos should be closed as they affect the lives of animals. To explain it, animals are used for the purpose of entertainment in the zoos which in turn leads to disturbance of their mental health since they are forced by trainers to perform certain activities. Furthermore, it causes changes in the behaviour of animals, and they become aggressive. Along with that, it snatches their freedom whereas, they are born to be free. For example, animals and their activities are restricted to a certain area as they are put in cages. Moreover, they are trained by specialists to make them capable of doing performances because of which they are treated harshly. For example, dolphins show funny activities after getting trained but do not get sufficient diet. Hence, it is considered to be a demerit on the part of animals.
To tackle this menace, certain alternatives can be adopted. The predominant one is that construction of wildlife sanctuaries should be initiated as it will help to preserve their habitat as well as freedom. Wildlife sanctuaries should not put animals under zero restrictions and help them to live their normal life without human interference. So, it benefits the environment and normal food chain is also not interrupted. In addition to that, the authorities should lay down certain rules and regulations. For instance, putting ban on zoos and charging heavy penalties from individuals in case of harassing their lives can prove to be beneficial.
After thoroughly analysing the above-mentioned notions, it can be reiterated that exhibition of creatures should come to an end. Also, animals should be free in the jungle. It is known that any kind of teasing with nature may result in an unbearable and uncontrollable loss. Therefore, animals should be returned to their natural habitat.
