Individuals perform lots of activities to reduce their stress and to rejuvenate themselves and fishing is one such activity, which helps to take break from monotonous routine. I vividly remember, a couple of months ago, I went to my best friend’s home, who lives in a countryside area near Hari Ke Pattan which has largest wildlife sanctuary in Punjab, and she told me that we must try fishing as there is a lake where we could go and take an experience of this entertaining task. On her insistence, I went there early in the morning. I was totally amazed by the breath-taking view of greenery and flowing water. In the beginning, we put our fishing gear into the water with earthworm to entice fish. Afterwards, we waited for half an hour, I must tell you, luckily, I got one fish on my  rod’s hook . However, it was so giant that I could not take it out without my friend’s help. After this experience, I realized even fishing is not everyone’s cup of tea, as it requires lot of patience and physical strength. I also clicked a lot of pictures with the fish that I capture. This was such an amazing yet tiring activity.

Do you think that human activities are posing a threat to the oceans of the world? 

Undoubtedly yes, human activities have caused detrimental effect on the water bodies across the globe because people as well as industries are dumping their waste into rivers, lakes and even seas which is causing water pollution. Moreover, hunting of marine species for the fulfilment of human needs or entertainment is also major reason behind the extinction of water species. For example, giant tortoise can be seen rarely nowadays due to water contamination.

What do you think are the advantages and disadvantages of traveling on the ocean?

The most prominent upside of travelling on the ocean is that one can refresh his or her mind and it can also give opportunity to explore unknown and mesmerizing scenes of our vast world. As every coin has two sides, in the same way, water travel can cause danger to the life of commuters if any water related natural disaster occurs such as hurricane or collision of ships.

Do you think it’s important for children to learn how to swim? 

To my way of thinking, children must learn swimming as it has numerous fruitful outcomes. In the terms of gaming activity, it is a source of entertainment and relaxing activity. It also acts a stress-buster for people. On the other hand, if a child learns swimming, then he or she can protect someone’s life from the danger of drowning. Moreover, they can also set up career in this sports.

Do you think that it is important to learn about the oceans and why? 

Absolutely, learning about oceans is quite essential because individuals can use that information for becoming oceanologist, diver or even an explorer. Apart from this, people can get to know about the marine species and their life circles by studying about oceans.

Do you think the oceans should be protected by international agreement?

In my perspective, international co-operation can really assist in saving the oceans, because people all around globe are responsible for deteriorating the quality of oceans. Therefore, all must join hands to solve this pressing problem as only legal biding international agreements can resolve this issue.
