It is undeniable fact that health is wealth. I personally follow it wholeheartedly and do various things to stay fit. Here, I would like to talk about one such activity which I do on regular basis, that is none other than yoga. I usually do it at the break of dawn in the backyard of my house.

Usually, I perform it with my mother for 1 hour. First of all, I do basic stretching and then I do important poses that can strengthen my all body parts such as mountain pose, tree pose and forward bend. All these poses have the benefits of their own. I vividly remember when I started doing it, I felt it was not my cup of tea. However, now scenario is entirely different as I feel it is a piece of cake.  If I talk about fruitful outcomes of this exercise, I really feel relaxed and energetic as it acts as a stress buster for me, thereby, making easier for me to concentrate on my study or work. Moreover, it regulates my metabolism rate and gives me power to do tasks that require lot of physical strength. I really feel that doing yoga everyday can bring miraculous changes in our body to live a disease free life.

What do old people in your country do to keep fit? 

There are myriad activities which aged people perform to stay healthy in my country. Most common are walking in parks, doing easy yoga poses as well as meditation. These activities are quite easy for them to perform, moreover they get to spend time with their friends and breathe fresh air. Additionally, they refrain from eating junk food and prefer balanced diet.

 

What kinds of sports are popular in India? 

India is a diverse country and plenty of sports are famous in different parts of my country such as hockey, cricket, badminton and kabaddi. From easy to challenging ones, all kinds of sports are being played depending upon the personal interest of individuals.

 

Do you think young people should play dangerous sports?

It completely depends on a person’s choice. If youngsters want to play extreme sports such as scuba diving, paragliding, sky-diving, then they should definitely try these sports. However, these activities should be performed under the supervision of trained mentors as well as proper safety measures must be taken before executing them.

 

What else people can do to keep fit besides sports? 

People can join gym and follow balanced diet, along with that, people can do jogging and keep a track of the calories they take and burn every day.

 

What can parents do to make their children like sports? 

Looking from my point of view, I would say parents can encourage children to take part in sports by involving themselves in such activities and setting example for children. Apart from this, they can tell children about benefits of playing games even they can show some success stories of famous sportspersons. Additionally, adults can also make children join some sports classes for developing interest for games in their kids.
