Describe Something Important that you lost

Describe something important that you lost

What it was

How you lost it

Why was it important to you

How you felt when you lost it

To be totally upfront, I am quite careful and responsible person when it comes to my possessions and there have been only negligible instances when I lost something precious. I vividly remember that 1 year ago, I lost my Samsung mobile phone which was gifted to me by my father on my birthday. I must confess it was a gloomy experience for me. One evening I had gone to the market as my mother had told me to purchase essential items for home but Alas! I didn’t even know that such a terrible thing would happen with me. While coming back, I was on my bike/scooty when I realised my pocket was empty and I was not having my cell phone with me. Then I recalled, when I was at a vegetable shop, at that time, I thought of making a call to my mother to ask her if she wanted anything else but anyhow I didn’t make the call as the shopkeeper had engaged me in silly jokes. I realised that during that moment it had slipped out my pocket. I was really terrified and started searching for my phone. Retracing my mobile phone was really daunting task. Unfortunately, all my search efforts went in vain. I felt down in the dumps, as it was quite special for me. Although this incident had made me more cautious because sometimes, a thing may not be expensive, but if it has emotional value, then definitely losing it will be worst moment for anyone.

Part-3 Follow-ups

What kinds of people may lose things often?

Usually, people who are careless and do not have sharp memory lose things often because they do not remember where they keep their items. Moreover, individuals who do not keep things at appropriate places and are disorganized lose their personal belongings more easily than others.

What can we do to prevent losing important things?

There are myriad ways to avoid losing essential things. First and foremost, keeping things at designated place is the most effective approach to this problem. Secondly, usually people lose things in a hurry, therefore, people should cross check their belongings in such cases. Last but not the least, individuals can use organizers for keeping documents and needy things.

What would you do if you saw something valuable but didn’t belong to you on the street?

Well, this has not happened with me yet. Even in case it occurs, I will try to search the owner of that valuable product. If I fail to find him or her, I would go to the police station and submit all found items to them so that they can give it to its real owner. I feel, everyone should do the same thing in such scenario because it shows our honesty and makes us responsible citizens.

What kind of things have you lost so far?

Fortunately, I have not lost many items in my life. I had lost my mobile phone only but lots of data was present in it. It contained not only my pictures but also my study material so I had to remake presentations which were not backed up on the cloud storage. Honestly speaking, it was not a piece of cake to do it again. Now, I am really careful of my items.

What do you usually do to look for lost items?

Usually, I look for items at the place where I would have kept them because I rarely keep things at undesignated places. If I am unable to locate it, then I ask my mother as she always knows where I could have kept my belongings.
